GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) Training

What is GWO Enhanced First Aid Training (EFA)

GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) is part of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) course portfolio, which sets the standard for training in the global wind and renewable energy industry. The standard has been developed in response to the demand for recognizable Enhanced First Aid (EFA) training in the wind industry.

You can either complete the GWO Enhanced First Aid Full Course (3 Days) or a Refresher course if you have already completed the training or hold a valid GWO BST First Aid certification. Take a look at the courses below to find the option for you or contact us.

FAQ’s

Do I have to complete GWO EFA instead of GWO First Aid?

In April 2023 GWO released a new standard for GWO First Aid Training with a reduction in training time to 1 day for Full and 0.5 for Refresh. When this happened GWO advised that GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) standard is recommended for use in the UK, this is inline with regulations. This being said the GWO First Aid training is still available and it is the employer’s decision as to what certificates and training an individual must have in order to work in their organisation. In addition, it also depends on the type of work the individual will be carrying out on site and which training will be sufficient for this.

Can I complete the Refresh Training if i have GWO BST First Aid Already?

No you are only able to complete GWO EFA Refresh if you have a valid and in date EFA certification.

What will be uploaded to my WINDA Record?

Upon completion of the GWO Enhanced First Aid Training (Full or Refresh), Certificates for EFA and First Aid will be uploaded to your WINDA ID.
