GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling Combined Refresher

INFORMATION

GWO Basic Safety Working at Height and Manual Handling Combined Refresher Training is aimed towards technicians who access and work on wind turbines. This course covers elements from safe access, evacuation and rescues from different zones of a turbine. It also covers elements from negative affects to the anatomy from poor manual handling techniques, safe lifting and movement when transporting objects.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Working at Height and Manual Handling Combined course refreshes the skills and knowledge of the delegates to work in a safe manner in the wind energy and renewables industry.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The aim of this combined module is to refresh the qualifications of the delegates, through theoretical and practical training, to use basic personal protective equipment and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment. It also encourages positive manual handling and ergonomic behaviour, encourages delegates to consider alternatives to manual handling through planning and provides delegates with ability to perform manual handling tasks in a safe manner in the wind turbine industry/environment.
