Training - Working at Height Operator
Working at height training is essential to ensuring workers are competent to work in any environment that entails any activity at height. Under the working at height regulations 2005, you must (as far as it is reasonably practicable to do so) as an employer train any worker who is working at height on;
-How to avoid falling
-And how to minimise injury to themselves the event fall.
WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING COURSE OVERVIEW
This one-day course is suitable for any person involved with Working at Height. The working at height training course will aim to provide the trainee with a working knowledge of how to remain safe in exposed areas of the workplace when working at height including awareness of suspension trauma. The working at height course looks at the basics of how to wear a harness through to safe practical use for work positioning, work restraint and fall arrest.
WHAT ARE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER DELEGATES FOR WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING COURSE?
The maximum number of delegates who can participate in any working at height course for both on and off site is 12 people.
HOW LONG DOES A WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING COURSE LAST?
Taskmasters working at height training courses last for a one day, the course will be broken down in to a theoretical and practical session.
WHERE CAN YOU COMPLETE YOU WORKING AT HEGHT COURSE?
TASKMASTERS TRAINING CENTRE
Training can be completed at our indoor training centre which offers 12,000sq of realistic & a controlled practical training environment with numerous training structures including Tower Crane Sloped Roof with Fragile Roof Light, Telecoms Towers, Refreshment Lounge and much more. All relevant fall protection and equipment will be provided on the day.
ON SITE TRAINING
We also offer the option of on site training where our experience trainers will come to site to complete your working at height training course. This service will incur additional travel expenses and would require you to provide both a safe and suitable environment for both the practical and theoretical parts. (This includes providing a classroom with access to an overhead projector.)
PRE REQUISITES FOR WORKING AT HEIGHT TRAINING.
Candidates attending working at height courses must be over the age of 18, both medically and physically fit and confident with heights in order complete the working at height course. Candidates will be asked to complete a medical self certification and in some cases a medical certificate may be needed from the candidates doctor confirming their medical condition.
